“You can’t go to bed without a cup of
tea. And maybe that’s the reason why you talk in your sleep.” –One Direction (Little Things).
Well
as you can tell, I have thing on that song. I think this is my all time
favorite song because first, it sounds really nice to pick me come to the
dreamland. And if you listening the lyrics carefully, it is so deep and
empowering the girls. And personally, I get motivated from this song. This song
tells how priceless we are as a woman. Ah, lovely song.
And because of listen the lyric,
it suggested me to try a cup of tea before bed. So it’s like my habit right
now. But I add some milk on my tea to get enough sweet. That’s me don’t judge.
What
is tea?
If
you don’t know then Wikipedia says “Tea originated in China, possibly as
medical drink. It came to the West via Portuguese priest and merchants, who
introduced during the 16th century. Drinking tea became fashionable
among Britons during the 17th century, who started large scale
production and commercialization of the plant in India to bypass a Chinese
monopoly at the time.”
But
yeah I know tea is good for our health. But there are also negative impacts if
we drink tea too much. Okay now we are going to talk about it.
Negative
impacts consuming tea too much :
·
Anemia,
because absorption of nutrients from food is inhibited.
·
Insomnia,
tea had caffeine.
·
Osteoporosis,
because tea can get rid of calcium on your body.
But as you can tell,
it can happen if you drink tea too much. It’s normal to drink a cup of tea
everyday but don’t drink it more than 2 cups per day because your body can’t
deal with it.
Benefits
of tea :
·
As
an antioxidant to capture free radicals in the body. Also effective in
preventing the growth of cancer cells in the body. Lowering cholesterol level.
These benefits because there are polyphenols on tea such as catechins and flavanols.
·
Tea
also has vitamin A to care of our eyes, liver and others!
·
Help
out diet psssttt……………
·
Stimulate
us in the morning ;)
Kinds
of tea :
Green
Teas
Green tea contains
healthy antioxidants. They help maintain cholesterol levels that are already
within the normal range, are good for skin and teeth. It’s good for diet. It
maintains a healthy blood sugar level. That’s why my teacher don’t ever drink
green tea with sugar cause it will be useless.
Oolong Teas
Oolong tea smells
really good. Most people commonly recognize oolong tea as the Chinese tea
served in Chinese restaurant. It helps diet too! Ppssttttttttttt….
Blooming Teas
Blooming tea is also
known as artisan of flowering teas. These teas actually “bloom” as they steep.
They are hand tied by tea artist and often include some type of flavor or scent
along with the beautiful design. It can be a beautiful gift! ;)
Mate
Teas
Mate
tea made from the leaves and twigs of the yerba mate plant, mate teas give the
same energy as coffee without the jitters. Great option for you a coffee lover!
They also may curb your appetite an contain 21 vitamins and minerals.
Rooibos Teas
Or red
tea is made from a South African red bush. This tea contains antioxidant as
well. Rooibos teas help promote digestion, promote healthy skin, teeth and bones.
You can drink it either hot or iced.
Herbal Tea
All I
know about this tea, it’s rich of vitamin A.
Black Teas
Most
people consume. Here in Indonesia actually. I don’t know about others habit but
again, my teacher told me that this low quality tea is most favorite tea in
Indonesia. I admit it cause I usually drink this kind of tea. I can find it
everywhere and also, it is sooooo inexpensive. But black tea is also helps
maintain cholesterol levels that are already within the normal range, as well as
helping to maintain cardiovascular function and a healthy circulatory system.
How to store/place teas to keep it along
time?
Put it in the dark place. Never
use glass or clear jars to store as sunlight or UV rays will degrade your tea
quickly. Next thing is package your tea in a very tight place to avoid the air.
Air is another enemy of tea. Use a good container.
Don’t put your tea in high
temperature place, heat can degrade the quality of tea, removing flavor aroma
and increasing the chance that your tea will take on moisture.
Well
that’s all. I hope you like this kind of post ;)
Take
care yourself. I love you.
