Fake Ice Cream for Display

Maybe it just me but I am sure that you guys will feel the same when your favorite class is over. Here are some pictures that I took for the exam day of culinary art class. It supposed to be a decoration “tumpeng”. But the time doesn’t allow us. So we made an ice cream for the final exam.

But we don’t make a real ice cream that can be melted all the time. We made fake ice cream!
This fake ice cream is made for display in the café or restaurant and also can be using as photography media. As you can tell it won’t get melt and very nice to take pictures. We can improve our photography and food styling skill with this one.

The method of making this fake ice cream is very easy :
·        You only need 2 basic ingredients like unsalted butter and icing sugar. The measurement is 1:2. But it’s really up to you. If you want to make your fake ice cream even creamier, you can add more butter.
·        I recommend to mixing it with a spoon because if you mix it directly with your hand, it can easily melt. Our hand has warm temperature. But if you can’t find spoon, you can also use your fingers. Fingers. Not the whole of your hand.
·        After you feel enough with your fake ice cream texture, you can add more food coloring to it. Shape it with a nice scoop then voila! You made your own ice cream.
·        You can décor your fake ice cream. You can add whatever you want like cone, sprinkle, biscuit, syrup, cereal and more. I hope the pictures gave you inspiration to make your own fake ice cream.

I want to thank to my friends who allow me to publish their creation! They are so creative and humble. Be nice to everyone and everyone will be nice to you. Ciao!!! <3 span="">
